Exemption of basic water service fees for two months – Application not required

To support residents affected by rising cost of living, basic water service fees are exempted for two months.
Applicable months
The basic service charge for water meter reading in August or September *Water meter reading is carried out once every two months.
Eligibility
Users with contract of water usage with Waterworks and Sewerage Bureau
※National, prefectural or municipal facilities are not included.
Applicable fee
Basic water service fees in the total water bill
Notes
● Water usage charges and sewerage fees are not exempted.
● In case of paying with delivery notification, you will be charged for the amount the basic water service fee deducted.
● In case of paying by account transfer, the amount the basic water service fee deducted will be automatically withdrawn.

Open house day at Kashiwa Ekimae Drop-off and Pick-up Childcare Station

We will be holding an open house at Kashiwa Ekimae Pick-up and Drop-off Childcare Station. This station is a school bus depot for buses running “to and from” the Certified Childcare Centers (Nintei Kodomo-en) for children aged 3 years old and older. If you are considering enrolling your children with these childcare facilities, please visit the station on the open house day.

What is “Kashiwa Ekimae Pick-up and Drop-off Childcare Station”?
After guardians drop off their children at the bus depot in the morning, school buses bring the children to their childcare centers. School buses bring them back to the Ekimae Pick-up and Drop-off Childcare Station, and they wait for their guardians to pick them up.
It is reassuring because children can spend their waiting time playing with toys together with the certified childcare workers at the playroom in the station.

Taking application for Certified Childcare Centers (Nintei Kodomo-en) and kindergartens for the next school year

Nintei Kodomo-en (type 1 certification, educational use) and private kindergartens in Kashiwa City will be distributing the application forms for enrollment on Tuesday, September 1 and onward.

We provide the Special Childcare Allowance to a parent or guardian of children aged 19 or younger with physical or mental disabilities who need care in daily lives. Notification on the need of submitting the updated income statement was sent to current allowance recipients. To continue receiving the allowance, the income statement and the Allowance Certificate must be submitted by the closing date.
Procedures
Fill out the required information and submit the form by mail to Child Welfare Division, Kashiwa City Hall 〒277-8505 (Must arrive by August 31), or bring it directly to Child Welfare Division (City Hall Annex 3F) or Shonan Branch Office (Shonan Building 1F) between Wednesday, August 12 and Friday, September 11.

Have you completed HPV vaccination series?

The cause of the cervical cancer is the HPV (human papilloma virus) and infection can be prevented for almost 90% by having the vaccination. Six months are required to have whole series of vaccination with appropriate intervals in-between each vaccination. Evening appointments are also available, so please plan your vaccination schedule accordingly.

Females born between April 2, 2010 and April 1, 2015.

Temporary closure of evacuation shelter, library, and others services due to construction work at Masuo Kinrin Center

The Masuo Kinrin Center has been in operation for 45 years. To respond to facility deterioration and changing community needs, renovation work is scheduled.
During the renovation work, the use of its meeting rooms, the use as an emergency evacuation shelter and library will be unavailable. However, branch office administrative services will be continuing as usual. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
