During Year-end & New Year period, the garbage collection schedule will have some changes in its schedule. When you dispose the garbage on the wrong day, they will not be collected. Please check the schedule in the Garbage Collection Calendar.

Reminders

Please note that during the year-end and new year holiday period, cases of bringing the garbage in for disposal increase and it takes longer time to accept and process the request for disposal. Also be aware that heavy congestion is expected around the facility and may bring inconvenience to the neighborhood. Please plan well ahead for your year-end garbage disposal, and make the best use of the garbage collection service at the collection point as much as possible on the scheduled collection date.

Early-stage cavities and periodontal disease often show no noticeable symptoms, and it makes difficult to detect them on your own. Receiving care and regular check-ups from a dentist prevents dental diseases.

Starting to accept an application for support payment for preparation for starting the first year at elementary school

The price of rice, essential part of meals for many households has continued to rise in recent years. Therefore, the city is providing economic support, “Rice　voucher” specifically to the households exempt from residential tax, which are particularly affected by rising living costs.

No action is required. “Rice voucher” can be used at many stores such as supermarkets, drug stores and specialized Rice shops.

When possible, remove the Lithium-ion battery from the devise and sort them before disposal

Raising the income threshold for spouses and dependents eligible for tax deductions

For the Spousal Tax Deduction, “the income threshold” for spouses will increase from 1.03 million yen to 1.23 million yen in annual employment income.

For instance, when a husband has his wife as a dependent, he may receive the spousal tax deduction provided that her salary income is up to 1.23 million yen. The rule will be applicable to income from January through December of 2025.
