Accepting applications for Kodomo Room (after- school daycare center) for April 2026

We provide childcare services at Kodomo Room (after-school daycare center) for children whose guardians are unable to care for them during the day due to work, illness, childbirth, or other reasons.
Applicable Kodomo Rooms
Kashiwa-Ichi sho (elementary school), Kashiwa-Ni sho, Kashiwa-Roku sho, Kashiwa-Nana sho, Asahi-Higashi sho, Takata sho, Sakaine-Nishi sho, Nakahara sho, Masuo-Nishi sho, Sakasai sho, Fujigokoro sho, Tomise-Nishi sho, Tomise-Higashi sho, Hananoi sho, Nishihara sho, Toyofuta sho, Kazahaya-Hokubu sho (dai-ichi, dai-ni), Kazahaya-Minami sho, Tega-Nishi sho, Tega-Higashi sho, Otsugaoka-Ni sho, and Kashiwanoha sho.
Eligibility
Elementary school children living or attending school in Kashiwa City who will be in grades 1 through 6 in April 2026.
Application period
From Wednesday, October 1 to Thursday, November 20.
※New first graders must apply by Wednesday, December 10.
Others
Depending on application situation, your child may not be able to enroll in your preferred Kodomo Room.
Notice
Kodomo Rooms other than those listed above will be covered by the After-school Program, which integrates the Kodomo Room and the After-school Children's Classroom project. Details on how to apply will be available on the city website and November issue of Koho Kashiwa News.

Eligibility
Those who are registered residents in Kashiwa city at the time of vaccination and meet any of the following conditions.
▶65 years old and older
▶60-64 years old with a heart, kidney, or respiratory impairment severely limiting daily life, or with an immune system disorder making daily life nearly impossible (a copy of disability certificate or physician's diagnose is required)
Procedures
Contact the medical institution of your choice beforehand, and visit the institution with your ID.
Others
Those from households on welfare are exempt from the copayment. Bring your Public Assistance Recipient Certificate.

Starting on October 1, a new program will begin, enabling children to use childcare facilities regardless of their parents' employment status.
Available hours
Up to 10 hours a month.
Eligibility
Children aged 6 months to 2 years old who are registered residents of Kashiwa City and not attending daycare centers or similar facilities.

The application deadline for the shortfall payment has been extended for those who were insufficiently covered by the fixed-amount tax reduction. Eligible individuals are requested to complete the necessary procedures by the deadline.

Accepting applications for disability tax deduction certification for the elderly

The city accepts applications for certification of a disability tax deduction recipient, which enables tax deductions on the final tax return.
Eligibility
Those who satisfy all the following conditions.
▶65 years old and older
▶Officially certified for long-term care services
▶Not hold a disability certificate
▶Either the individual or their dependents are not exempt from resident tax.
