Have you applied for the Child Benefits Allowance in new scheme? Must be done by 31st March (Monday)

Since October 2024, eligible households for the child benefits allowance are extended. Application is required to receive the child benefits allowance.
Eligibility
▶Those who are not receiving the Cild Allowance Benefit and are raising children up to 18 years old(eligibility expires at their first fiscal year-end after turning 18).
▶Those who are receiving the Child Allowance Benefit and are raising three or more children including youngsters between the ages of 19 and 22(eligibility expires at their first fiscal year-end after turning 22).
Procedure
Please return the filled request form for the qualification or the qualification acknowledgement notice downloaded from the website of Kashiwa City by 31st March (Monday) by post (must arrive) to 〒277-8505 Kashiwa shiyakusho, Kodomo Fukushika/Child Welfare Division, (Child Welfare Division, Kashiwa City Hall, 277-8505), or bring it in person to the division (3rd floor, City Hall Annex building), or on the website of Kashiwa City.
※Public employee should submit the application to the designated division at the workplace.

Book Plaza on the 4th floor and Junior and Senior High School Student Plaza on the 5th floor in the children and childcare support complex in Kashiwa station area are newly opened. They are safe and comfortable plazas for pre-school children to senior high school students to enjoy freely. Please feel free to enjoy this facility.

This is for pre-school children to junior high school students to read books and play. There are 5,000 books, and children can enjoy the facility in their ways.

Junior and Senior High School Students Plaza, 5th floor
This is for children in junior and senior high school, and in equivalent age group on after-school, weekends, national holidays, and during school seasonal breaks. There are various areas for each individual to enjoy the facility.

▶Tuesday to Friday: 3:30pm to 8:30pm
▶Saturday, Sunday, national holidays and during school seasonal breaks: 9:00am to 8:30pm ※Closed on Monday.

Children in junior and senior high school, and in equivalent age group
Registration is required to use the facility
Membership card will be issued on request.

Have you done the rubella (phase 5) antibody test?

Tickets for free antibody test and vaccination were sent out in June 2024 to the male who had not had a chance to get vaccinated against rubella in the past. The program will be finishing in this fiscal year. If you wish to be vaccinated, plan the antibody test at your earliest convenience before it finishes. Those who moved into Kashiwa city and have not received the tickets are advised to contact the division.
Eligibility
Males with no history of having an antibody test for rubella, and were born between 2nd April 1962 and 1st April 1979.

Period of filing and payment of the tax declaration for fiscal year of 2024 income tax and special income tax for reconstruction is from 17th February (Monday) to 17th March (Monday). Please note that additional taxes may be charged for tax declaration document filed after the closing date.

▶ For completing the tax declaration forms at the designated area for tax declaration, you need to either make an appointment in advance using the LINE app or obtain a numbered ticket on the day.
▶ On 2nd March (Sunday), collection of national taxes, consultation on telephone, and issuance of tax payment certificates will not be available.
▶The Kashiwa Tax Office parking lot will be unavailable until mid-April.

Points to note for the final income tax declaration
Address to send the forms filled at home
Mail by post to 277-8522 Kashiwa Zeimusho (Kashiwa Tax Office). Must arrive by the closing date. Or bring in the forms in person.
Consult directly with the tax office on the following cases
▶Tax declaration for miscellaneous loss deduction and tax deduction for donations ▶Tax declaration for income of other than fiscal year of 2024 ▶blue form tax return, so called 'Aoiro-Shinkoku' ▶Tax declaration for income resulting from revenue generated by business operations, agriculture and real estate, etc. ▶Tax declaration for income and losses from the transfer of land, homes, stocks, etc. ▶If you are receiving a mortgage deduction (special deduction for loans to purchase a home) ▶Consultation for completing income tax declaration for foreigners or deceased persons.
Procedures to send the forms for municipal and prefectural tax declaration
Procedure
Please fill the required details in the form which will be sent out on 24th January (Friday) and return the form by post.

※ If you need a stamped receipt, please include a self-addressed envelope for returning with 110 yen postage stamps of with your address and name(in Japanese phonetic characters)
Others
▶You can fill in the forms of Municipal/Prefectural taxes on the website of Kashiwa city from 24th January (Friday).
▶Even though you went through the tax declaration procedure in previous year, if you are identified for no-need for the tax declaration procedure for fiscal year of 2025, the form will not be sent. In case you need the form, please contact the Municipal Tax Division.
▶Those who file the final income tax declaration do not need to declare municipal/ prefectural tax.
