 We have facilities of after-school day-care room (Kodomo Room) for children whose guardians cannot provide the care during the daytime due to the work shift etc. 　

 

Eligibility	Children of 1st to 6th grades in elementary school in Kashiwa city or living in Kashiwa city as of April 2025 ※Priority will be given to lower grade children ,or children who need special support.
Period	From 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2026
Fee (Monthly)	10,000 yen. ※15,000 yen for August Fee reduction system is availabe
Application forms are available at:	Kodomo Room, After-school Day-care Division (1st floor of City Hall outer building 1), and Shonan Branch (1st floor of Shonan branch Office)  ※Application form is downloadable from the Kashiwa City website.
Procedures	Apply on the Kashiwa City website by 10th December (Tuesday). *If a child needs special support, and the appication for Kodomo Room is for the first time, please call in advance  (TEL 7128-8651) and apply directly to After-school Day-care Division.
Others	Depending on the number of applications, it may not be possible to enter the Kodomo Room of your choice.

Apply by Post! Taking application for authorized nursing schools and day-care centers starting in April 2025

  There are 22 public and 93 private authorized nursery schools, authorized day-care centers and small-scale authorized nursery schools in Kashiwa city. Two authorized nursery schools and one authorized day-care center are planned to be open in April 2025.

  If you intend to apply for an authorized day-care center (kodomo-en), please make sure to have briefing on the policies and regulations from each facility prior to proceeding the application procedure. Each facility accepts a request for visiting the facility. Please make the best use of the opportunity. 　

 

Application and procedure

Requirements for the needs of day-care	To be entitled to enroll your child to authorized day-care center or nursing school, the guardian must be certified for group 2 or 3 of Education and Day-care Entitlement (to prove the need for day-care service), and the guardian must satisfy any of the following conditions. ▶working ▶before and after the childbirth (until the last day of the month in which 8th week after the child-birth.) ▶experiencing disease or having disability ▶nursing any family member with mental or physical disability or elderly member living together for full-time. ※Documents to prove the reason of requiring the day-care such as certificate of employment must be issued after 1st July 2024 to be valid.
Ages for each class	Full year (age) as of 1st April 2025. ※Even after the birthday, the child stays in the same class during the school year. Some facilities have limitation on the eligible age (age in month) to be accepted.
Where you can pick up the application form.	Nursery School Administration Division (3rd floor, City Hall Annex), Shonan Branch (1st floor, Shonan Branch office), every public nursery school ※Downloadable from the Kashiwa City website.
Application procedure	By 13th December (Friday), the application must be sent by post to the following address. (Postmark valid) 277-8505 Kashiwa-shiyakusho, Hoiku-Unei-ka (Nursery School Administration Division, Kashiwa City Hall). ※If your first preference is an authorized Kodomo-en (day-care center), please take your application form to your choice of authorized Kodomo-en (day-care center) directly.
Announcement date of assessment result	5th February (Wednesday) 2025 (plan only)
Others	▶Acceptance is not determined on “first come, first served” basis. Degree of necessity for the nursery school is converted into the point system from the viewpoint of child welfare and assessed in accordance with the points.   ▶For authorized Kodomo-en (day-care center), higher priority is given to who chooses Authorized Kodomo-en (day-care center) as the first choice. ▶If you have any concerns on the development or sickness of your child, please arrange the consultation at the Nursery School Administration Division with the application form and the Mother and Child Health Logbook during the application period. (Booking required. Please make a booking online on the website of Kashiwa City by 6th December (Friday).) ▶Additional application is required if you wish to use the Kashiwa Ekimae Pick-up and Drop-off Service Station.

Subsidy of 10,000 yen per person for students in the third year of junior and senior high schools

To support students in the third year of junior and senior high schools who are proceeding to the next stage of education, subsidy payment to assist students to prepare  for the entrance examination is offered.

Eligibility

Household with a child in the third year of junior or senior high schools and equivalent criteria with registered address in Kashiwa City as of 31^st October 2024.

Starting to accept an application for support payment for preparation for starting the first year at elementary school

We offer financial support to cover a part of the expenses for preparation for school life as the practice of School Entrance Financial Assistance System to the guardian of to-be 1^st grader at elementary school in next April living in Kashiwa city with financial issues.

Those who apply by 31^st January 2025 (Saturday) will receive the payment in the late February after the assessment on the income statement.

Kashiwa City is starting consultation desk managed by the subcontractor to support the pregnant women. It provides a safe place for women who have concerns and worries on pregnancy and becoming a parent, for women in unexpected pregnancy, and for women who do not have any relatives to ask for support, with the necessary support before and after the birth of a child,

Ending the issuance of current “National Health Insurance Card” and “Medical Care Card for Elderly Seniors”

Current system of  “National Health Insurance Card” will stop issuing and reissuing  a card from 2^nd December (Monday). In principle, the use of “Myna Health Insurance Card (My Number Card registered for use as a health insureance card)” will be required at a medical facility.

You can use the current “National Health Insurance Card” until its expiration date.

Valid “Health Insurance Card” as of 1^st December (Sunday) can be used as long as there are not any changes of the description on the card.

 

Notice of Qualification Information” or “Qualification Confirmation Certificate” will be issued.

On and after 2^nd December (Monday), in a month before the current valid health insurance card expires, you will receieve either  “Notice of Qualification Information” or “Qualification Confirmation Certificate” depending on your possesioning status of  "Myna Health Insureance Card."  After your current insurance card expires, you can receive a medical examination with either “Myna Health Iinsurance Card” or “Qualification Confirmation Certificate."

In possession of “Myna Health Insurance Card”

“Notice of Qualification Information” containing health insurance information is issued. When your "Myna Insureance Card" cannot be read at a medical institution counter due to a mecanical faulty, etc., you can receive a medical examination by presentng it together with your “Myna insurance Card."

※You can not receirve a medical examination only with “Notice of Qualification information."

 

Not in possession of “Myna Health Insurance Card”

 “Qualification Confirmation Certificate” will be issued. Just as with your current insurance card, you can receive medical services.

Others

“Qualification Confirmation Certificate” is issued to all the members of Elderly Seniors Medical Treatment System irrespective of “Myna Health Insurance Card” posession status until 31^st July 2025 (Thursday).
