Rising Cost of Living Support Subsidy, Kashiwa City

Subsidy is offered to the household newly classified as the household with resident tax exempted or  paying only the  resident tax levied on the per capita rate.

Eligibility

Any household with registered address in Kashiwa city as of 3^rd June 2024 and newly classified as the household with resident tax exempted or and paying the resident tax levied on the per capita rate. 

Amount of subsidy　

100,000 yen per household

Payment notice letter will be sent out to the applicable household on 26th July (Friday)	No need of application
Other than the household in above, confirmation letter will be sent out to the household which might be eligible.	Confirmation letter must be returned in the designated envelop for return by 11th October (Friday) by post. （Same day postmark is valid）

※ Any households with any member of the household having registered as a Kashiwa citizen 2^nd January 2024 and after have to apply.

Others

For the household with a child born after 2^nd April 2006 as of 3^rd June 2024, additional subsidy payment of 50,000 yen per a child is offered.

For those who will not receive full amount of flat-rate tax reduction

For those whose amount of estimated income tax for 2024 or amount of resident tax income tax percentage for fiscal year of 2024 is estimated to go below the full amount of flat-rate tax reduction and the full amount of flat-rate tax reduction will not be exempted, subsidy will be paid to satisfy the differences from the full amount.

Amount of subsidy is in the notification letter or confirmation letter.

Eligible age for Child Allowance is extended  up to 18 years old.  Some changes in child allowance system.

There will be some changes in child allowance system on 1^st October (Tuesday). This system is financial support to encourage the development of all the children through their life stage.  The eligibility will be extended. Along with the changes, there may be some cases which application is necessary to receive this support system.

 

Contents of changes

▶Currently allowances are paid 3 times a year. After the change, it will be paid 6 times a year and paid in even numbered month.

▶Limitation on the total amount of income (ladder of the amount of child allowance based upon the higher income of the parents and ceiling of the higher income of the parents) will be removed.

▶Eligible age is extended from “the end of fiscal year which a child turns into 15 years old” to “the end of fiscal year which a child turns into 18 years old”

▶Amount of the child allowance for third child and after will be 30,000 yen monthly from current 15,000 yen monthly

▶ The age to be considered as the child is extended from “the end of fiscal year which a child turns into 18 years old” to “the end of fiscal year which a child turns into 22 years old”

Have you completed HPV (human papilloma virus) vaccination series?

  The cause of the cervical cancer is the HPV (human papilloma virus) and infection can be prevented for almost 90% by having the vaccination.

  Those who missed the allocated vaccination period can have the catch-up vaccination for free of charge by the end of March 2025. Six months is required to have all the necessary 3 vaccinations. If you want to have all the vaccination for free of charge, you have to have your first vaccination by September. Vaccination is available in the evening too. Please plan your vaccination schedule at your earliest convenience.

   Returned cards of Health Insurance and Medical Insurance for elderly seniors which had been sent out in July but returned (not delivered or not collected) are now kept at Health Insurance and Pension Division. If you have not received your new insurance card yet, please make sure to collect it at your earliest convenience.

Support payment in purchasing safety helmet for bicycle

Wearing a safety helmet when riding a bicycle is your obligation to make the best effort. To reduce the injury and the damage due to the bicycle accident, and also to promote the use of the safety helmet, some part of the cost of purchasing the safety helmet will be supported.

▶Has to have registered address in Kashiwa city as of the day of purchasing and applying for the support payment

▶No record of unpaid municipal tax
