During the Year-End and New Year’s Holiday, the garbage collection schedule will be different than usual, so please check the schedule on the Garbage Disposal Calendar beforehand. (If the type of garbage put out for disposal is different from the type indicated on the calendar, the garbage will not be collected.)

Payment of Special Temporary Support Benefits (Advance Benefits) for Child-Rearing Households

Due to the prolonged effects of the Covid-19 situation, we will provide Special Temporary Support Benefits (Advance Benefits) to child-rearing households. Some of the people who are eligible for the benefits will need to submit an application. A notification will be sent on Friday, January 7 to those who need to apply in order to receive benefits, and then to those who do not need to apply. Please check the notification when it arrives.

People who are eligible for the benefit

People in households that meet the any of the following criteria, and whose income is within the restrictions.

①People who received child allowance for September, 2021.

②People who have a child born between April 2, 2003 and April 1, 2006

③People who have a child born between September 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022.

Amount of benefit

50,000 yen per eligible child.

People who need to submit an application

Eligibility

People who meet any of the following criteria

▶Households that did not receive Child Allowance or Child Dependent Allowance, with a child who meets criteria ②.

▶Civil servants who are receiving child allowance from their workplace.

Fill out the required parts of the application form, and mail it to 277-8505, Kashiwa City Hall Children’s Welfare Division. You can also submit the application in person (at the City Hall Annex 3rd Floor, Children’s Welfare Division) or apply through the Kashiwa City website.

We will provide information regarding vaccinations in the city.

Vaccination status

Vaccines are planned to be provided to every person nationwide by November, and the overall vaccination rate in Kashiwa City is now 82.0%. In the future, we will proceed with preparations to provide the 3rd dose of the vaccine. Information regarding the 3rd dose of the vaccine will be available through Koho Kashiwa and the Kashiwa City website.

We are approaching the second Year-End and New Year’s holiday season during the Covid-19 pandemic. Since November, the number of Covid-19 cases has settled to just a few people per week. However, the possible effect of the Omicron variant is concerning. We understand that there are many people who have plans to go home for the holidays, so we urge you to continue to follow infection prevention measures.

▶Do not participate in any events or dinners if you are feeling unwell.
