September 1 is Disaster Prevention Day - Be prepared for a disaster before it occurs!
Contact: Disaster Prevention and Safety Division – Phone: 7167-1115, Fax: 7163-2188
We do not know where or when an earthquake will occur. In order to protect yourself and your family from a disaster, it is important to prepare ahead of time.
Check the timing and route of your evacuation
There will be an increasing possibility of floods and landslides due to typhoons, etc. from now until October. In October of 2019, typhoon number 19 made landfall, causing the level of the Tone River to rise. This led to road closures and the evacuation of a total of 384 people to 25 evacuation areas across the city, which had a major impact on all of us.
Check the estimated flooding areas around your home, and check the timing and route of your evacuation before a disaster occurs.
Please visit the city website to see the flood hazard map and other information.
▲Access the city website here
Use the "Disaster Information Transmission Service"
You can have emergency information, such as evacuation orders and earthquake early warning notifications, sent directly to your mobile phone by setting up this service. If you are not receiving earthquake early warning notifications on your mobile phone, you have selected the "Do not receive" setting. Why not take this opportunity to change your settings?
