The amount of vaccine provided by the government has not reached a stable level, so our city is working on a system to adapt to the ongoing changes, and provide vaccinations in sequence to everyone who wishes to receive them. In this bulletin, we will provide information on the city's response to the reduced vaccine supply from the country, and the additional locations for group vaccinations.
Response to the reduction of vaccine supply
The city is distributing the required amount of Pfizer vaccine to the medical facilities in the city that are conducting individual vaccinations. Due to the nationwide decrease in Pfizer vaccine, Kashiwa City has adjusted the number of vaccine doses distributed to medical facilities starting in July, including the doses of the vaccine in inventory. The medical facilities in the city have had to cancel the acceptance of new appointments for individual vaccinations, reduce the number of appointments, and postpone vaccination times. We apologize if this has been a cause of concern or inconvenience. The city is continuing to request the required number of vaccinations from the national government.
Mailing schedule for vaccination tickets
Vaccination tickets (coupon tickets) have been mailed to everyone aged 50 and older in Kashiwa City. Vaccination tickets will continue to be mailed to people aged 49 and under, according to age. Please be aware that the vaccination tickets which are exclusively for use at the National and Prefectural Large-Scale Vaccination Centers cannot be used for individual and group vaccinations in Kashiwa City.
