Vaccination tickets will be mailed to older adults in Level 2

In Kashiwa City, vaccination tickets (coupon tickets) will be sent by mail to approximately 14,000 residents 65 years of age and older. When you receive your ticket, please refer to the information provided with the ticket and make an appointment if you wish to receive a vaccination for Covid-19.

The vaccination is optional and free of charge

People eligible for vaccination in Level 2

・Those who are certified for nursing care or support and not included in Level 1.

・Those who have a passbook for a person with a physical disability, rehabilitation passbook, or health and welfare passbook for a person with a mental disability.

Tickets will be mailed starting at the beginning of May.

Along with the vaccination tickets (coupon tickets) delivered to each individual, there will be 3 more types of documents, with 5 documents in total. All of the documents are required for the vaccination, so please ensure that they are not misplaced.

Points of caution when receiving the vaccine  

The vaccination is optional. In general, those who are being treated for an illness and those who have already been infected with Covid-19 can also receive the vaccine. However, please consider whether or not to receive the vaccine after consulting your doctor.

A cooperation fund will be paid to business operators who cooperated with Chiba Prefecture’s request for implementation of measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Eligibility

Restaurants that reduced hours of operation to 5:00am to 9:00pm (with alcohol served only between 11:00am and 8:00pm) between March 22 and March 31.

Payment amount

A maximum payment of 400,000 yen

Application period

By Monday, May 31

Changes to the criteria for National Health Insurance fee reduction

The criteria have changed for the uniform and impartial reduction of fees based on the previous year’s income for households registered in National Health Insurance. A reduction of fees may be available for those who had no income or a low income during the previous year, so please submit a tax return to declare your income.

Criteria to determine fee reduction

Reduction Ratio

Total household income amount from the previous year ① is equal to or less than the following amounts

70% reduction

430,000yen + 100,000yen x (number of income earners② - 1)

50% reduction

430,000yen + (285,000yen x number of insured household members ③)+ 100,000yen x (number of income earners ② - 1)

20% reduction

430,000yen + (520,000yen x number of insured household members ③) + 100,000yen x (number of income earners② - 1)

①The total amount of income earned by the head of household and all household members enrolled in National Health Insurance. (Public pension income for people age 65 and over is the amount with a maximum 150,000yen deduction, full-time deduction is the amount before application, and separate capital gains is the amount before special deduction.)

②Salaried income earners with a salaried income of 550,000yen or more, or public pension recipients age 65 or over who are receiving a public pension income of 1,250,000 yen or more (a public pension income of 600,000 yen or more is applicable in the case of those under age 65).

③Insured household members include those who were once enrolled in National Health Insurance, and have transferred to the Latter-Stage Elderly Medical Insurance System.

Other

Households that experienced a decrease in income due to the effects of Covid-19 may be eligible for a reduction, exemption, or deferral of insurance fees.

Schedule

Weekly classes will be held from May 13 to March 31 of next year, every Thursday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:30pm to 8:30pm (not including national holidays, Year-End and New Year's holiday, and July 29, the month of August, and September 2. 38 classes will be held in total.)

Eligibility

Foreign residents age 18 and over who live, work, or attend school in Kashiwa City. The first 3 people to register for each class may attend.

We will study introductory and beginner Japanese.

Register by phone at the Chuo-Kominkan starting on Thursday, May 6 from 9:00am.

Students will be responsible for purchasing their own textbook.
