Start of Covid-19 vaccinations for older adults

Vaccinations will begin at the end of this month for people who are 65 years of age and older, certified for nursing care or support, and have been admitted to a nursing care insurance facility. We will provide information in this bulletin regarding the priority vaccinations provided for older adults and medical workers.

Vaccinations will begin with those admitted to nursing care and health support facilities for the elderly, and nursing care medical facilities

Vaccinations in Kashiwa City will begin with older adults who are certified for nursing care or support, and who have been admitted to nursing care facilities. The first vaccinations will begin at the end of this month with those eligible for vaccines in 9 nursing care and heath support facilities for the elderly and 1 nursing care medical facility.

The schedule for vaccinations for other facilities will be determined after monitoring the vaccine availability in May.

 

Division of levels for people over age 65 in Kashiwa City

Level 1

People eligible for vaccination

Those who are certified for nursing care or support, and have been admitted to nursing care facilities.

Facilities eligible for vaccination

Nursing care and health support facilities for the elderly, nursing care medical facilities, special nursing care homes for the elderly, group homes and paid nursing care homes for the elderly.

Beginning at the end of this month

Distribution of vaccination tickets (coupon tickets)

Vaccination tickets will be distributed through each facility

Level 2

People eligible for vaccination

▶Those who are certified for nursing care or support, and not included in Level 1.

▶Those who have a valid passbook for a person with a physical disability, rehabilitation passbook, or health and welfare passbook for a person with a mental disability.

From mid-May to late May

Distribution of vaccination tickets (coupon tickets)

Vaccination tickets will be mailed in order starting at the beginning of May.

Level 3

People other than those in Level 1 and 2

To be decided at a later date.

Vaccination tickets will be sent to people in Level 2 starting at the beginning of May

Vaccination tickets (coupon tickets) are scheduled to be sent to people in Level 2 starting at the beginning of May. For the time being, priority vaccinations for medical workers will be progressing at the same time. In order to avoid an influx of appointments at medical facilities, distribution of vaccination tickets for people in Level 2 will be staggered, and sent out in order of further subdivided levels according to the necessity for nursing care.

Financial assistance system for starting school

Contact: Schools and Education Division – Phone: 7191-7367

Financial assistance is available for parents and guardians of children attending Kashiwa City public elementary or junior high schools, who are experiencing financial difficulty. If approval for financial assistance is granted, school lunch fees will be subsidized, and financial assistance will be given for part of the fees for school, such as school supplies and school trips.
