An update on the vaccine preparations

Contact: Public Health Center Health Promotion Division – Phone: 7128-7252, Fax: 7164-1263

In this issue, we will provide information on the vaccination process for the approximately 110,000 older adults in Kashiwa City, as well as the issuance of vaccination tickets (coupon tickets).

(This information is current as of March 24.)

Vaccinations of older adults will begin with those certified for nursing care or support

In Kashiwa City, older adults will be divided into three levels for vaccination, from the standpoint of giving priority to those at highest risk of severe symptoms, and prevention of cluster infections.

Although the vaccine supply is expected to increase from May, each level may be further subdivided depending on the actual supply situation and the response of medical facilities providing vaccinations.

Level 1

People eligible for vaccination

(Note) Residents of Kashiwa City who are certified for nursing care or support in a different municipality will not be issued vaccination tickets during the same period. In this case, please contact the Kashiwa City Call Center listed below.

Vaccination tickets will be sent out to coincide with the vaccination period

The vaccination tickets for all residents of Kashiwa City will not be sent at the same time. Instead, the tickets will be sent out in an order that will coincide with the vaccination period. Once the vaccination schedule has been decided, Koho Kashiwa, etc. will provide details regarding the period that vaccination tickets will be sent.

Vaccination Q and A

Q1: When I receive the vaccination ticket, do I have an obligation to get a vaccination?

A1: Receiving a vaccination is voluntary, and is done with the consent of the individual.

Q2: What kinds of medical facilities provide vaccinations?

A2: Medical facilities providing vaccinations will be listed in the information enclosed with the vaccination tickets, and will also be published through Koho Kashiwa, etc.

Q3: How much does it cost to receive a vaccination?

A3: The Covid-19 vaccination is free of charge. Please be extremely careful of fraudulent organizations in Kashiwa City posing as public medical facilities with claims such as “we provide vaccinations” or “pay through direct deposit now and receive a full refund later.” If money is required, it is fraud.

Q4: Can I receive a vaccination outside of the municipality of my resident registration?

A4: As a rule, vaccination tickets will sent to the address listed on your resident registration. When details have been determined, Koho Kashiwa, etc., will provide information on applications to receive vaccinations outside of the municipality of your resident registration. This will be done in the case of unavoidable circumstances such as people seeking refuge from domestic violence, stalkers, or child abuse, or in the case of people with an underlying illness receiving care from a physician outside the city.
