We are strengthening measures against Covid-19

There has been a sudden and dramatic increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in Kashiwa City, and the disease is spreading. Kashiwa City is strengthening countermeasures by taking steps such as building up Public Health Center personnel.

From now and through the Year-End and New Year’s holiday, we would also like to ask everyone to take all appropriate measures to prevent the spread of infection, being even more vigilant than usual about Covid-19.

Five situations that increase the risk of spreading Covid-19

1. End-of-year parties and other social gatherings where alcohol is served.
2. Dinner parties with a large number of people together for a long period of time.
3. Conversations at a close distance while not wearing a mask.
4. Shared living arrangements in close quarters, such as school dormitories.
5. Moving from one place to another, such as break rooms, smoking areas and change rooms.

File income tax returns using e-Tax

In order to prevent the spread of Covid-19, city hall staff will not provide tax return creation or consultation services this year. Using your smartphone or home computer, please use the National Tax Agency website to file your tax return with e-Tax.

How to use e-Tax

Use either of the following to file your income tax return.

• Your My Number Card (an IC reader/writer is also required)
• An ID and password issued in advance at the National Tax Office

Application

The application deadline is Tuesday, December 15. After completing the required parts of the application form, return it by post using the special envelope provided. (Applications postmarked by the deadline are valid.)

• One application per household. If there are more applicants than spaces available, tenancy will be decided by draw.
