Applications will be accepted for bicycle parking spaces selected by draw for the 2021 fiscal year

In order to prevent the spread of Covid-19 through overcrowding, new permits for bicycle parking lots with a large number of users will be selected by draw. There are 37 bicycle parking lots in Kashiwa City. The parking lots with spaces allotted by draw are listed below. Applications for parking permits at other bicycle parking lots will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis starting from Tuesday, March 2, 2021.

Applications

Application postcards can be obtained from Kita-Kashiwa Station South Exit Bicycle Parking Lot 1 and 3. Applications are available from Thursday, December 10 to Friday, January 8, 6:00am to 8:00pm. (Not including the Year End and New Year’s Holiday.) Apply by one of the following methods after completing the required parts of the application postcard.

  • Affix a 63 yen stamp to the reply postcard, and post the application, ensuring that it is postmarked by the deadline.

Or,

  • Bring the postcard application directly to the Kita-Kashiwa Station South Exit Bicycle Parking Lot 1 or 3.

Kita-Kashiwa Station North Exit Bicycle Parking Lot 1, Shin-Kashiwa Station West Exit Bicycle Parking Lot 2, Sakasai Station East Exit Bicycle Parking Lot 1, Takayanagi Station East Exit Bicycle Parking Lot 1 and West Exit Bicycle Parking Lot 1

How to apply (using the internet application form)

Apply using the Kashiwa City website between Thursday, December 10, 2020 and Friday, January 8, 2021.

Applications for more than one person from the same email address will not be accepted.

How to apply (by postcard)

Application postcards can be obtained from the Transportation Facilities Division (City Hall, Main Building, 4th Floor), or from the bicycle parking lots representing each train station. Application postcards are available from Thursday, December 10, 2020 to Friday, January 8, 2021. (Not including the Year-End and New-Year’s Holiday.) Apply by one of the following methods after completing the required parts of the application postcard.

  • Affix a 63 yen stamp to the reply postcard, and post the application, ensuring that it is postmarked by the deadline.

Or,

  • Bring the application to the Transportation Facilities Division.

Items that apply to all bicycle parking spaces allotted by draw

Results of the draw

Results will be sent out from the end of February 2021.

Applications

  • If multiple applications from one person for the same parking lot are received, all applications will be invalid.
  • Applications without a postage stamp will be invalid.
  • Applications will be invalid if they are made under a name other than that of the bicycle parking lot user.
  • The application postcard is different for each bicycle parking lot.

Bicycle parking lots in the Kashiwa Station area

Information regarding the bicycle parking lots selected by draw in the Kashiwa Station area, the application period and application method will be available on the Shibazono Kaihatsu website on Saturday, December 19.

Property Tax and Urban Planning Tax reduction measures

Operators of small to medium businesses who experienced a decrease in business income due to the effects of Covid-19 may be able to receive a Property Tax or Urban Planning Tax reduction. Certification from a certified management innovation support organization is required before making an application.

Application period

Monday, January 4 to Monday, February 1, 2021

Eligibility

Owners of business property and/or depreciable assets in Kashiwa City. Total business earnings for three consecutive months between February and October meet the following criteria compared to the same period from the previous year.

  1. Less than 30 to 50 percent.
  2. Small to medium business operators or individual proprietors with decreases of 50 percent or more.
    (Land is not included)

Reduction amount

Reduction of property tax or urban planning tax amount associated with the applicable property:

  1. = Half the amount
  2. = Full amount

Application

Download an application form from the Kashiwa City website by Monday, February 1, 2021. Complete the required parts of the form, attach the required documents, and mail the application to postal code 277−8505, Kashiwa City Hall, Property Tax Division. (Valid if postmarked by the deadline.)

Reinforcement of disposition for failure to pay motor vehicle tax

In order to reduce the amount of unpaid motor vehicle tax, there will be a period of reinforced effort for seizure of salary, cash or motor vehicles until May of next year.

If you have not paid your motor vehicle tax, please be sure to pay it.
