Have you finished your application for the Special Fixed-Amount Benefit Payment?

We are approaching the deadline for Special Fixed-Amount Benefit Payment applications. Since application acceptance began at the end of May, benefit payments were completed for 95 percent of households as of July 14 in Kashiwa City, 186,000 households in all. received their benefit payments. If applications are not received by the deadline, it will be considered to be declined, and you will not be able to receive your benefit payment. If you have not made your application by mail or online, please do so before the deadline. Additionally, if you have not yet received an application form, please contact the Kashiwa Special Fixed-Amount Benefit Payment Call Center.

Incomplete applications will require more time for the information to be verified, resulting in delayed payments. Please double-check your completed application form to make sure there are no errors or omissions.

Temporary Special Benefit Payments provided to single-parent households

Temporary Special Benefit Payments are provided as part of the support for single-parent households that have experienced a decline in their financial situation due to the effects of COVID-19.
Eligibility
- Households that receive the Child Dependent Allowance amount for June.
- Households that are receiving a public pension, etc., andwhoseincome for 2018 was below the standard level of eligibility to receive Child Dependent Allowance
- Income decreased in February and in the following months, and the income amount for one year is expected to be below the standard level of eligibility to receive Child Dependent Allowance.
Benefit payment amount
Benefits will be paid in the folliwng amounts for each eligible child; 50,000yen (for the first child), and 30,000yen for the second child and thereafter.
(An additional payment of 50,000yen will be provided for households specified in 1. and 2., if they experienced a large decrease in income for February and the following months.
How to obtain an application form
Applications will be mailed by Friday July 31 to households that are receiving any of the following; Child Dependent Allowance, Kashiwa City Support Allowance for Children of Deceased Parents or the Single-Parent Household Medical Expense Subsidy System. Other households can obtain an application form from the Chidren’s Welfare Division (City Hall Annex, 3rd Floor), or the Reception Desk Service Division (Shonan Building, 1st Floor).

Please complete all required parts of the application form, and attach the necessary documents. Mail the completed applicaton form to 277-8505, Kashiwa City Hall, Children’s Welfare Division, or submit the application in person.

Get tested for hepatitis

In many cases, there are no noticeable symptoms after infection with hepatitis, and if left untreated, it may progress to liver cancer. If treatment is done early, it can prevent the progress of the disease, and chances are good for a complete recovery. For this reason, it is important to have a screening done to detect the disease in its early stages.
Deadline for hepatitis screening
Sunday, January 31 of next year.

Designated medical facilities, Chuo Hoken Senta (Central Health Center) (group screening only)
Eligibility
Residents of Kashiwa City who meet all of the following criteria
- 40 years of age or older as of Wednesday, March 31 of next year.
- Those not scheduled to receive a hepatitis screening as part of a “Ningen-Dokku”general medical check-up, or workplace medical check-up.
- Those who have not had the same screening done in the past.
- Those who are not currently undergoing treatment or under medical observatior for liver disease.
How to obtain your hepatitis screening
Contact one of the designated medical facilities ahead of time to confirm the screening schedule or make an appointment. Bring the screening voucher and record chart that was sent to you by Kashiwa City, and personal identificaton documents (such as your health insurance card) to the medical facility, and have your screening done.
Hepatitis screenings can be done along with the group medical check-ups provided for those eligible for Kashiwa City National Health Insurance Specific Medical Examinations or Over-75 Medical Examinations.
Other
Hepatitis screening information and vouchers have been sent to people who are age 40 to 80 as of March 31 of next year. Information and screening vouchers are sent every 5 years for the 40 to 80 age group.

National Health Insurance payment deadline is Friday, July 31
- Payment must be made by the deadline
- If you are paying by bank transfer, please ensure that your account balance is sufficient.

Items that apply to all insurance payments
Regarding the billing notification items
Due to the extension of income tax return submissions, insurance bills for some individuals may not reflect the information in the tax returns. The adjusted insurance billing notifications will be sent out at a later date.
- Billing notifications for Latter-Stage Elderly Medical Insurance will be sent out on Friday, July 17
Regarding the reduction of insurance fees
Those who are struggling financially due to the effects of COVID-19 may be able to receive an insurance fee reduction by submitting an application. (Nursing Care Insurance fee reduction is only available to those 65 years of age and older.)

Tax collection postponement may be granted to those who have experienced a decrease in income as a result of the effects of COVID-19, and are struggling to meet the tax payment deadline. Applications for tax collection postponement must be made by the tax payment period deadline.
