In Kashiwa City, a peace event will be held to show the misery of war and the preciousness of peace. As people living in this time in history, let's consider what we can do for peace.
Kashiwa Peace Week 2018 - Recognize Peace and Create Peace
Date and time: Monday, August 20 to Friday, August 31, 8:30am to 9:00pm.
Opens at 12:00pm on the first day, and closes at 12:00pm on the last day.
Content: Atomic bomb panel exhibit
Try making folded paper cranes
Date and time: Thursday, August 23 to Friday, August 31, 8:30am to 9:00pm.
Begins at 12:00pm on the first day and ends at 12:00pm on the last day.
Activities: Making paper cranes as a symbol of peace.
Classical Music on Thursday Afternoon!
Date and time: Thursday, August 23, 1:30pm to 2:00pm
Content: Appreciation of classical music on the theme of peace.
Date and time: Thursday, August 23, 2:00pm to 2:30pm
Capacity: The first 100 people to arrive will be admitted.
Content: Reading performances will be done based on messages and poems of the atomic bomb victims.
Make peace lanterns and colorful ocarinas
Date and time: Tuesday, August 28, 10:00am to 3:00pm.
The activity will continue until the craft materials are gone.
Activities: You can make original lanterns, and try painting an ocarina.
You can register at the activity area on the day of the event.
One minute of silence

This year, we are once again coming up on the anniversary of the atomic bomb, and the end of the war. We would like to ask everyone to observe a minute of silence to pray for the souls of the victims and the fallen soldiers, and for everlasting peace in the world.
▶Hiroshima = Monday, August 6, 8:15am
▶Nagasaki = Thursday, August 9, 11:02am
▶The day that the war ended = Wednesday, August 15, noon.
Please submit the report of your current situation for Child Dependent Allowance

Notices have been sent out to those who are eligible to receive Child Dependent Allowance, and who need to submit a current situation report. This report is used to verify your household situation, and must be submitted in order to receive Child Dependent Allowance.

Bring the required documents in person to the Child Welfare Division (City Hall Annex, 3rd Floor), or the Reception Desk Service Division (Shonan Building, 1st Floor)
