Palette Kashiwa is set to open - A new center for citizens' activities!

Palette Kashiwa is a new facility for cultural and social activities in Kashiwa City. The facility is set to open on Saturday, May 14, in the Kashiwa Station East Exit Zone D 1st Area, where substantial redevelopment has been done. Through a concept of "a place for citizens to get together, be active and interact", the new facility will be a place where city administration and citizens' issues come together, and where cooperative community-building will progress through these associations.

Three roles of Palette Kashiwa

1.Support for citizens' public activities
A space has been provided for organizations and clubs to use freely for their activities. With support for citizens' independent activities, we will create more opportunities for participation in citizens' activities.
2.Promotion of citizens' social activities
Organizations such as the Kashiwa Cross-Cultural Center and the Gender Equality Center will be located in the facility, creating a central location for citizens to meet, and creating more opportunities for social activities that bring all generations together.
3.Promotion of Culture
With facilities such as the Public Gallery, the new center is making a place for all citizens to showcase their activities and to support arts and culture activities.

An overall introduction to Palette Kashiwa

Kashiwa Cross-Cultural Center

An advisory desk and an information corner for foreign residents will be opened. A language class will also begin (a fee applies), and the center will provide a place to further international relations and multicultural understanding.

Citizens' Activities Support Corner

●Citizens' Public Activities Advisory Desk
Experienced citizens' cooperative support staff is available to provide consultation regarding citizens' public activities. In addition, events will be planned and held to advance these kinds of activities.
●Second Life Support Desk
The Second Life Support Desk, which is currently located in the main building of the city hall, will be relocated to Palette Kashiwa as of Monday, May 16. At this support desk, information will be provided regarding jobs, hobbies and volunteer work for retired citizens for their new stage in life, and consultation will be provided in consideration of their lifestyle. 

Meeting Room and Multi-purpose Space

As well as the standard whiteboard and table, there are spaces available with a piano, projector and kitchen. These spaces can be used not only for meetings, but also to interact with friends and to hold parties.

Kashiwa Public Gallery

The Kashiwa Public Gallery is a place where citizens can showcase their arts and crafts, and hold unique exhibits. The gallery will provide an opportunity to build a closer relationship with the arts.

Co-working Space

This space is equipped with a wireless LAN and power supply to provide a place to work with a computer that you have brought in. The Co-working Space can be used for administrative work for citizens' public activity groups, as well as for study. 

Open Space

An open space with tables and chairs set up will be available for you to use at your leisure to talk, or study. In addition, the entire space can be reserved (a reservation and fee are required) for clubs and organizations to use for events. 

Kashiwa City Gender Equality Center

The center provides a central location to promote gender equality. Information will be distributed and lectures will be held, and consultation services will be provided from this center.

In addition to nursing rooms, there are diaper change tables in the men’s washrooms as well, making it easy for child-raising families to come in.

How to reserve the available spaces

There are spaces in the facility that require a reservation. Reservations will be accepted m Sunday, May 15. Groups or organizations that have registered for use of the spaces will have priority, and the spaces can be used for a fee.
Eligibility: Open Space (only for reservations), Meeting Room, Multi-purpose Space, Co-Working Space
1.First of all, register your group or organization
Fill out the application form, add a list of the participating members, bring in personal identification of the representative member, and register in person at the Palette Kashiwa Reception.▶ When your group or organization has been registered, pick up a Group Registration Completion Form at the Reception.
Validity: 3 years from the registration date
2.Reserve the room and day
Please go to the Palette Kashiwa Reception in person to apply for your reservation. (補足)The Meeting Room and Multi-purpose Space can be reserved using the Public Facilities Reservation System
3.Pay the usage fee on the date of use
On the date of use, pay the usage fee at the Palette Kashiwa Reception before you use the space.
