Financial Aid System for Children's Education

Financial aid for education is provided for children attending public elementary or junior high school in the city (excluding Higashi Katsushika Junior High School), whose families are facing financial difficulties. If the child's situation is approved, he or she will be exempt from school lunch fees, and financial aid will be provided for part of the cost of school supplies and school trips.
Application deadline: Tuesday, April 26

New students are welcome at Japanese Language Classes

Class schedule: Every Thursday
▶Afternoon class: 2:00 to 4:00 pm
▶Evening class: 6:30 to 8:30 pm
Eligibility: Foreigners who live, work or attend school in Kashiwa City.
Class details: Students can learn Japanese to help them handle day-to-day situations smoothly.
Cost: Free (補足)Students are responsible for purchasing their own textbook.
Registration: Please register in person at the Chuo Kominkan (Central Public Hall)
Other: If there is anyone you know who cannot speak Japanese, and is having difficulty with day-to-day situations, please let them know about these classes.
