Children’s  Medical Expense Subsidy System is extending the eligible age up to 18 years old

From April, Child Medical Expense subsidy system is extending the eligible age up to the end of the fiscal year of which the person reaches 18 years old. To be entitled, registration is required. To the eligible person, notification and application form is sent out in the end of March.  Please be reminded to apply before the closing date. Freshman of the high school who has been entitled for the child medical expense subsidy until the end of March are not required to apply.

Eligibility

Anybody living in Kashiwa city and born in between 2nd of April 2005 and 1st of April 2008 ※Married person is excluded

Amount of copayment(out-of-pocket payment)

300 yen per  one time of attending a hospital and  one day of being hospitalized  ※No copayment for  household with exempted municipal and prefectural income-base levy. Pharmacy service under health insurance is free of charge.  

Systems of subsidy  

Receipts for April to July (Reimbursement)

Please claim the receipts paid for medical institutes them to Child welfare Division on 1stof August and onward.

1st of August and onward (Benefit in kind)

Please present the Children’s Medical Expense Subsidy card at the cashier of medical institutes. ※In case of medical institutes outside Chiba Prefecture, it is by the reimbursement.

Cashless Payment system is available to pay   the Premiums

Premiums for National Health Insurance, Latter stage Elderly Medical Treatment system and Nursing care Insurance can be paid on smartphone cashless payment system application, “auPAY” and “J-CoinPay” from 3rd of April (Monday).  To use this system, the application requires the registration and deposit.

Cashless payment system is not available to pay with the   payment slip for more than 300.000 yen and payment slip without barcode.

COVID-19 Updates

Here are some updated information on COVID-19 and Vaccination.   ※as of 23rd of March

 

COVID-19 Vaccination Ticket for 2023 fiscal year to be sent out

Omicron compatible Vaccination ticket will be sent out to those who had vaccination for more than 3 months ago.  In 2023 fiscal year, “Spring Vaccination” during 8th of May (Monday) to the end of August for person of 65 years old and older, and “Autumn Vaccination” from September for anybody are planned.

From the end of April, it will be sent out accordingly.

Eligibility for “Spring Vaccination”

Anybody in either of following criteria

▶65 years old and older ▶with pre-existing condition ▶diagnosed by the doctor for high risk of severity  ▶working for medical institutes, nursing care facility for the elderly people and any facility for the handicapped people  

Others

Those who are eligible for “Autumn Vaccination” are advised to hold onto the ticket until “Autumn Vaccination” starts. “Autumn Vaccination” for 2022 fiscal year (current vaccination system) is finishing on 7th of May (Sunday). Anybody considering to have the vaccination but not having had vaccination yet during “Autumn Vaccination” period for 2022 fiscal year, and 12 years old to 65 years old with no pre-existing condition are advised to remind the schedule of current vaccination system.
