When feelng unwell after testing on Antigen-testing kit, you can consult On-line Medical Consultation Center, Chiba Prefecture. Please check the eligibility before you contact for different condition applies on different age groups.

Be ready for the tax return procedure

 Filing and payment of the tax return for 2022 income tax and special income tax for reconstruction are from 1st February (Wednesday) to 15th March (Wednesday). Please note that additional taxes may be charged for returns filed after the closing date.

Consultation on completing tax return forms

A dedicated site for completing tax return is available at the Kashiwa Tax Office

Schedule

1st February (Wednesday) to 15th March (Wednesday) *excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. It is open on 19th (Sun) and 26th (Sun) February.

▶ For Completing tax return form at the dedicated site for tax return, you must either make an appointment in advance using the LINE app or obtain a numbered ticket on the day.

▶ When the dedicated site for tax return is open on Sundays and public holidays, national tax receipts, telephone consultation and tax payment certificates will be unavailable.

▶The Kashiwa Tax Office parking lot will be unavailable until mid-April.

Details

Certified Public Tax Accountants registered with the Chiba Certified Public Tax Accountant's Association Kashiwa Branch will provide consultation and assistance for the following types of tax returns.

※ If you need a stamped receipt, please include a self-addressed return envelope with an 84-yen postage stamp.

◆Consult directly with the tax office on the following cases:

Tax return can be completed using the “Completing Tax Return form Corner “on the National Tax Agency website. “Tax Answer" is another helpful service to answer your questions on tax returns.

Electronic filing and tax payment system (e-Tax)

National tax return filing and tax payment, etc. can be done via the Internet.

Points to note in completing a final income tax return form

Entering your My Number (Individual Number)

Please complete the required parts of the tax return form, and present one of the following documents when you file your tax return:

・My Number Card

・My Number Notification Card, or documents that can verify your Individual Number, along with a driver’s license or other photo identification.

If you are filing your return by post, please provide a copy of the documents (both sides of your My Number Card).

Medical expense reduction

 If medical expenses is paid over a certain amount for the individual or relatives who share the same income for living expenses, the individual filing the tax return may be eligible for a tax return if a medical expense deduction is filed.

 Special mortgage deductions (home loan deductions)

In case of moving in the home between 2013 and 2022 receiving a mortgage deduction with exceeding loan beyond the amount deductible from income-tax, a tax credit will be deducted from the income amount of the city / prefectural tax. For those who moved into their home in the year 2022 and are eligible for the mortgage deduction for the first time, a tax return must be filed at the tax office by 15th March (Wednesday). Salary earners who have received a mortgage deduction for the year-end income tax adjustment must file a tax return by 15th March (Wednesday) for the reduction for medical expenses and donations.

With dependent relatives under age of 16 years old 

As it is necessary for the calculation of the tax exemption limit of the city and prefectural tax, please fill in the details of a spouse or relatives and circle the column "residence tax" in the  Table 2 on the tax return form.

Points to note

In order to receive personal deductions for relatives living abroad, you must attach or present documents to confirm concerning relatives as your relative and remittance documents. (If the document is in a foreign language, please attach a translation.)

City/Prefectural tax returns

 For those who file a tax return for city and prefectural tax for the year 2023, please fill in the required information on the tax return form that will be sent out in late January and send it back to following address: 277-8505  Kashiwa Shiyakusho Shiminzeika  (Citizens' Tax Division, Kashiwa city hall)  

You may also compleate a city/prefectural tax return on the city website from the end of January. Once you have created the return, you may print it out and submit it by mail. Even if you filed a tax return last year, you will not be sent tax return forms if you are not expected to be required to file a 2022 tax return. If you need a tax return form, please contact the Municipal Tax Division.

Your cooperation is appreciated for early submission of payroll reports

 Individuals and corporations that have paid employee salaries and wages (including full-time and part-time) during 2022 have an obligation to submit a salary payment report for all employees living in Kashiwa City as of 1st January 2023. Please submit this document on time as it is important for your employees’ city/prefectural tax report.

Closing date of application of the grant of Emergency Support Benefits for Price Increases of the utility and foods is approaching. If the application is not sent in by the closing date, you will not be receiving the grant. Please make sure to send the application by the closing date.

Any household which falls into either condition below

▶①As of 30th September 2022, the flat rate resident tax of each member in the household is exempted

▶② During 2022, experiencing the sudden change of household budget, and current income is equivalent to the level of income of tax exempted household

 Support for purchasing expenses of books to expand the education is offered to promote children motivated to study and establish the routine of studying even in financially struggling circumstances. From mid-January, it will be sent out by simple registered mail.

Extending applicable period of Injury and sickness allowance for National health Insurance & Medical insurance for the elderly

 Considering the infection status of COVID-19, the applicable period of Injury and sickness allowance is extended for another three months.

Eligibility 


Those who satisfy the following conditions▶being registered national health insurance, kashiwa city or medical insurance for the elderly, Chiba prefecture 
▶having income such as salary
▶having taken sick leave for more than 4 continuous days for COVID-19 infection or having had symptoms of suspected COVID-19
▶whole or partial part of the salary has not been paid
