Having a temperature during Year-end & New year holiday!  What to do? Recuperate at home or See the Doctor?

It is recommendable for you to check the procedures in case of getting the high temperature in the period of year-end & new year holiday when most of the medical institutes are closed to protect yourself and your family.

3 choices to remember

Choice 1: Stay home to Recuperate

In case of mild symptom such as slight temperature, monitoring the condition at home first is one of the options. If you have the Antigen Test kit, it is advisable to test first at home.

Checkpoint

If you are small infants under the age of 1st grader,  over 65 years old or in pregnancy, you have to go and see the doctor no matter what the severity of the symptoms.

 

Choice 2: See the doctor at duty hospital

In the case that even with high temperature you are able to go to the hospital on your own, please contact the duty hospital during year-end & new year holiday first and seek the medical assistance.

In case of Influenza, you will get efficient effect of the medication when you take the influenza medication at adequate time(within 48 hours after the onset).

 

  Option 3: Call the Ambulance

No matter what the temperature is, when you recognize the condition emergency (such as conditions listed below), do not hesitate to call the ambulance right away.

・Abnormal conditions "becoming unconscious", "Not able to talk"

・Duty Hospital or other medical institutes are not open and you think you cannot wait until their opening.

・You need to see the doctor but cannot make it to the hospital by yourself.

●Just in case of sudden high temperature, it is wise to check the available medical institutes during year-end & new year holiday.

In coming winter, coincidence of COVID-19 and seasonal influenza is a concern. Support by subsidizing the purchase of Antigen Test kit as a part of the preparation for any symptoms such as high fever, etc. is offered.

During the Year-End and New Year’s Holiday, the garbage collection schedule will be different from regular schedule.

Please check the schedule on the Garbage Disposal Calendar beforehand. (If the wrong type of garbage put out for disposal is on the wrong day, the garbage will not be collected.)
