Vaccination interval is shortened to 3 months

　To be prepared for the predicted epidemic of COVID-19 in coming winter, aiming to vaccinate everybody who wishes to have the vaccination by the end of this year, vaccination interval is shortened to 3 months from 5 months. Vaccine ticket will be sent out accordingly to those who satisfy the eligibility. Please refer to the homepage of Kashiwa city for the schedule of sending out the Vaccine ticket.

Anybody who is 12 years old and older with 2 vaccinations done more than 3 months ago.

Please have your 1st& 2nd standard Vaccine by the end of this year

To have Omicron compatible Vaccine, you must have 2 standard vaccines. The supply of standard vaccine for 1st & 2nd vaccination will be finishing in the end of this year. Anybody who wishes to have the vaccination should make a booking in earliest stage. 3 〜4 weeks of interval period between  vaccinations is required between  1st and 2nd vaccinations.

Vaccination for infant of 6 months to 4 years old is starting

COVID-19 Vaccination for the infant and the child is starting at the medical institutes in Kashiwa. Type of vaccine is Vaccine for the infant and the child from Pfizer. Vaccination ticket will be sent out on 4th November to the eligible infant and child of 6 months to 4 years old as of 1st of November. Vaccine ticket will be sent out accordingly to any infant becoming 6 months old from now on.

The grant will be paid to support the low income household which has been influenced by the rising price of daily essentials such as electrify, gas and foods.

 

Eligibility

Any household which falls into either condition below

▶①As of 30th September 2022, the flat rate resident tax of each member in the household is exempted

▶②During 2022, experiencing the sudden change of household budget, and current income is equivalent to the level of income of tax exempted household

Amount of grant

Per household, 50.000 yen

 

Confirmation notice to be sent out

＝From 27th October, confirmation notice is sent out accordingly to the head of the household of possible eligibility

②＝Will be sent out accordingly to the head of the household who contacted the call center to request the application form.

Application must be mailed by post!  Opening for Authorized Nursery Schools for April 2023

There are 22 public and 81 private authorized  nursery school・authorized day-care center ・small scale authorized day-care. In April 2023, 3 authorized nursery school, 1 authorized  day-care center and 3 small scale authorized day-care are planned to be put in order. If you are considering to apply for the authorized day-care center, please make sure to attend the briefing session on its operational guidelines and policy at each facility before you send in the application.  Each facility is available for the visit.  Please feel free to do so.

 

■Requirement  

Requirements to probe the necessity of Nursery school	To be admitted to authorized nursery schools, you have to be certified as category 2・3 of Education & Nursery category certification (necessity for day-care), and also the guardian has to fall into following condition. ▶working ▶either before or after the baby-birth（certified period is till the end of the month which  8th  weeks after baby-birth falls into）▶having illness or disable ▶taking after the mentally or physically disabled family living together for full-time. ※the effective certificate and other documents such as certificate of employment to prove the need for the day-care has to be issued later than 1st July 2022
Age group (Class)	Based on western style age system as of 1st April 2023. Even after the birthday, the child belongs to the same class during the whole school year.※There may be a case that they have some limitation on the eligible age (age in months) to be admitted

Results of admission assessment Announcement date	6th February (Mon) 2023

 After-School Day-Care facilities (Kodomo room) are open for the children with guardians who are not able to take care of the children at home during daytime due to their work patterns.

 

Eligibility	Any children becoming 1st to 6th grade in 2023※Priority is given to the children of 1st to 3rd grade and any children who need special support

Hours	▶Mon～Fri＝1:30PM～7:00PM※During the long holidays, from 8:00AM▶Sat＝8:00AM～6:30PM▶Shortened school hours day ＝After school～7:00PM ※during long holidays, extension is available for 7:00AM〜8:00AM for on request only. 100 yen per person everytime. It is closed for Sunday, national holidays and the year-end & New year holidays (29th December〜3rd January)
Monthly fee	10,000  yen ※15,000 yen during August. Exemption request is available

Starting to accept application for preparatory fee for enrollment

For the guardian of the child living in Kashiwa enrolling the elementary school in next April with financial concerns, the preparatory fee for enrollment is supported partially as a part of school attendance assistance system.

By 1st March (Wed) 2023, fill in the application form which is available at. Schools and Education Division (2nd floor, Shonan Building) and every public elementary school, then send it by post (must arrive by this date) or bring it in person with required documents attached to the following address or on the homepage of Kashiwa city
