Starting COVID-19 Vaccination compatible with Omicron for age of 12 and over

※As of 21 September

COVID-19 Vaccine compatible with the Omicron variant is expected to have  higher efficacy of preventing the severity of symptoms.  Vaccination is optional. Please make a booking in advance when you decide to have one done.

Eligibility

　Those who satisfy all the following conditions can have the Omicron variant compatible vaccine.

・12 years old and older with 2 vaccination done

・last vaccination was done 5 months ago

Vaccine Ticket to be sent out from 28th September 

　Tickets  will be sent out in various ways according to the vaccination status. Please check where you belong in the following chart.

You can use your vaccine ticket for 3rd and 4th vaccination in your possession to get the vaccination of the Omicron variant compatible vaccine. 

You will get the Omicron variant compatible vaccines by Pfizer at any medical institutes and group vaccinations.

Starting 3rd Vaccination for child of 5 to 11 years old

Government has decided that children aged 5-11 years old with  2nd vaccination done 5 months ago are eligible for 3rd vaccination. Tickets for 3rd vaccination will be sent out accordingly after 5 months of 2nd vaccination. Type of vaccine is vaccine for child use by Pfizer.

Subsidy to support the cost of Flu Vaccination

　Kashiwa city will support the cost of Flu vaccination for children and  the eldery. Flu is a life-threatening illness in a severe case.  Please have vaccinated before it goes around.

Appointed medical institutes in Kashiwa 

Eligibility 

Anybody of age 6 months old to 6th grade in elementary school with a registered address in Kashiwa when vaccination is due.

Subsidy payment

￥1.500 *Any exceeding cost has to be covered by you.

Other

If you have vaccinated at any medical institute other than the appointed medical institute by Kashiwa city, you have to pay the full cost first and then claim the subsidy later.

②Vaccination for the Elderly

Eligibility 

Anybody with a registered address in Kashiwa when vaccination is due and falls in either condition below.

▶65 years old and older

▶60-64 years old with any disability of cardiac・kidney・respiratory system constricting daily life immensely or any disability of immune system disabling daily life.

￥1,500

Other 

Anybody on welfare is exempted for the cost. Please bring your welfare status certificate.

What to do

Please contact the medical institute of your choice in advance. When to be vaccinated, bring the following,

Mother and Child Health Handbook (case ① only)

Any self identification such as Health Insurance Card to confirm the address of person to be vaccinated

Extending applicable period of Injury and sickness allowance for National health Insurance+medical insurance for the  elderly

　Considering the infection status of COVID-19,  the applicable period of Injury and sickness allowance is extended.

Applicable period

1st January 2020-31st December 2022

Eligibility

Those who satisfy the following conditions▶being registered national health insurance, kashiwa city or medical insurance for the elderly, Chiba prefecture

▶having income such as salary

▶having taken sick leave for more than 4 continuous days for COVID-19 infection or having had symptomes of suspected COVID-19  ▶whole or partial part of the salary has not been paid

Application for tax exemption entitlement of the Elderly with disability

　We are accepting the application for the tax-exemption entitlement in income tax-return for citizens with disability.

Eligibility

Those who satisfy all the following conditions▶being certified for long-term nursing care needs▶65 years old and older▶not being certified for disability certificate ▶self or dependants are not residence-tax exempted

Please acknowledge that even if the applicant has the certificate for long-term nursing care needs, not all the application for income–tax exemption is granted.

 

Window payment  service at Mitsui Sumitomo Bank will be no longer available

Window payment service  ( no handling charge) for city-tax, water & sewage charges and other public funds is available at 　Mitsui Sumitomo Bank  until 31st March 2023. Even though Mitsui Sumitomo Bank is printed as an appointed bank on your payment slip, when you pay city-tax and other public funds using window payment at Mitsui Sumitomo Bank, you need to pay the handling charge from April 2023.

Account transfer payment is still available, so that there is not any need to change the bank account.
