Changes in the Parking Fees at City Hal

Due to management changes for City Hall Main Bldg. parking lot, usage fees will change starting January 25 (Sat). Furthermore, parking remains free of charge when visiting City Hall for application/business purposes.

Filing and payment of the tax return for 2019 income tax and special income tax for reconstruction is from February 17 (Mon) to March 16(Mon) Please note that additional taxes may be charged after the deadline.

How to receive medical expense deductions
You may receive a tax refund if you declare a medical expense deduction for those who paid more than a certain amount of medical expenses last year for themselves or relatives who reside with them.
Persons who receive special deductions such as house loans
If you moved into your current residence between 2009 to 2019 and received a mortgage deduction, but it cannot be deducted from your income tax, a tax credit will be deducted from the income percent of the city / prefectural tax. For those who moved into their current residence between January and December 2019 and are eligible for the mortgage deduction for the first time, a tax return must be filed at the tax office by March 16. Also, if a salary earner who has received a mortgage deduction for the year-end adjustment of income tax and is eligible for medical expenses and donations, a tax return must be filed by March 16.
Those with dependents under age 16
As it is necessary for the calculation of the tax exemption limit of the city and prefectural tax, please write in the column of "Dependent relatives under 16" on the final return form Table 2 "Matters Regarding Resident Tax"
Attention
If you want to receive personal deductions for relatives living abroad, you must attach or show a list of relatives and remittance documents. (If the document is in a foreign language, please attach a translation)
Regarding City/Prefectural Tax Reports
For those who file a tax return for city and prefectural tax for the Year 2020, please write the necessary information on the tax return form that will be sent out in late January and mail it to the Municipal Tax Division at Kashiwa City Office, 277-8505. You may also create a city/prefectural tax return on the City Hall Homepage from the end of January. You may print out and mail in your tax report. Even if you filed last year, you will not be sent a notice if you do not need to file for 2020. If you need a form please contact the Municipal Tax Division.
Cooperate for early submission of payroll report
Individuals and corporations that have paid salaries and wages (including full-time and part-time/limited time jobs) during 2019 are required to submit a salary payment report for all employees living in Kashiwa City as of January 1, 2020. Please submit this document on time as it is important for your employees’ City/Prefectural tax report.
